Hello! My name is Aaron McCarthy and my goal with Notes From My Entrepreneurial Journey is to capture different topics, situations and events so that other entrepreneurs, or aspiring entrepreneurs, can learn from my wins and losses. I'm here to show you that entrepreneurship is possible if you're willing to put in the work consistently!

My background began in corporate America and evolved in to business ownership. I started out working on the helpdesk for a very small dial-up internet service provider in 1997. I was fortunate to work at a dot com during the internet boom and eventually moved in to technology consulting. My final corporate stint was with a couple of telecom companies where I learned about the power of recurring revenue and the lack of a solid corporate culture. Seeing this, I knew I could do it better!

I started Maven IT, a technology managed services provider (MSP), to provide small/medium businesses with enterprise level IT support. I was able to grow that business from a one man shop to a nation-wide company with 11 employees, that is still growing today. More recently, I acquired a commercial cleaning business, Maven Commercial Cleaning, which has been in growth mode.
